White River – Witrivier

The small town of White River is on the Kruger National Park and the Panorama Route. It is situated in the heart of the Lowveld where fuchsia and the orange Bougainvillea blossom and row upon row of banana and avocado trees dominate the farmlands, at least the ones that don’t grow citrus fruit or macadamia nuts. It is a place of colours and vivid blue skies, but the town also has a lot to offer: there are chocolatiers, antiquarians and of course Casterbridge Centre, a unique shopping and lifestyle experience, situated on a hill right outside town. This cozy area has its own stores, restaurants, art galleries and a  genuine coffee roasting facility, all of which are popular with locals as well as tourists.
